Death certificates are available for deaths occurring in Butte County.

The fee for a certified copy of a death certificate is $12.00. You may order a copy of a death certificate by one of the following:

• Coming into the office at 25 County Center Drive, Suite 105, Oroville. The process takes approximately 10-15 minutes. You will receive the certified copy at that time.
• Mail the completed applications and the $12.00 fee to:
